Hotel-Pension Sirius is located at the east coast of Jutland at the peninsula Bjerre Herred. At the north side of the peninsula you’ll find Horsens Fjord. This area has the nickname “The Green Lagoon”. It got the name because of the extensive forests and fields along the shores. The village of Glud, where we are located, is very famous because of the local “Open Air”-museum and the “Ferguson” tractor Museum. More about these museums: look “Attractions”.

Hotel-Pension Sirius is an ideal starting point for hiking and (bi)cycle rides. A large selection of local maps with routes is available and can be used by our guest. For shorter or longer bicycle rides the surrounding area is more for the practised cyclist. The local and regional authorities have spent a lot of energy and money on developing an area with good facilities for the cyclist. Local it is possible to hyre a high quality bicycle for reasenable price. Even tandems and MTB's  ar possible!

If you are more interested in hiking along the beaches or maybe enjoying the many hours of sunshine we have in Scandinavia, around 200 hours in June/July, then the 67-kilometre-long beaches will give you the time of your life. You’ll find beaches with sand, but also fine gravel stones. The beaches surrounding the peninsula Bjerre Herred are child - friendly, and every year recommended as the cleanest and finest. The blue flags (EC-norm) are there to convince you.

Denmark is a country for active holiday people. People that like to explore their knowledge about foreign countries and their cultures, and like to hike across the country. By hiking through the country, learning about the people and finding the places that make a country worth visiting again. The Danish people are open, kind and friendly. That’s the meaning of our opening sentence “Velkommen til” (Be welcome). We hope you’ll feel like that during your stay in this lovely country.
